PABNA, July 04:-A tragic accident killed 5 friends when a private car lost control and collided with a tree at Pabna-Ishwardi highway in the Dashuria area of the upazila around 9 pm today. Police said the victims were all friends.
The deceased were identified as Jihad Hossain (25) son of Rezaul Karim of Kalikapur village of Ishwardi upazila, Vijay Hossain (25) son of Anwar Hossain, Siam Hossain (23) son of Elias Hossain, Shishir Islam (22) son of Masum Hossain of Bharimari village and Shawon Hossain (22) son of Waz Uddin. 24).
Ishwardi Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Monirul Islam confirmed the fact of the incident. He said, a private car was speeding towards Pabna district town. While the car reached Dashuria area of Ishwardi upazila, car lost control of the wheel and collided with a tree on the side of the highway. Three people died on the spot. Both were rescued with serious injuries and taken to Pabna General Hospital where doctors declared them brought dead. There were two other passengers in the private car. He learned that they were taken to the Ishwardi Upazila Health Complex in critical condition.
Sub-Inspector (SI) of Ishwardi Police Station Rezaul Karim said from the spot that there were seven passengers including the driver in the private car. They are all friends. 5 of them died. The other two are being given first aid at Ishwardi Upazila Health Complex and are being sent to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.
