Amir Hossain, the garden owner of Jammura area, told Basas that there are several types of buyers and sellers. Jackfruit gardens are planted here on the hills and slopes by private initiative. After the fruit comes, the wholesaler buys the jackfruit garden. They again sell the fruit to another wholesaler after ripening. Jackfruit comes to the market through several hands. He has 25/30 trees. He is cutting the jackfruit and selling it directly to the wholesaler. Large variety of jackfruit sold at Tk 100/120 each. Rustom Hossain, a wholesaler who bought orchards in that area, told Bass that he had been buying jackfruit orchards for 10 years. This time he bought 250 tree plantations. There are 2,600 jackals here. He sold the medium size at Tk 65 and the small at Tk 25. So this time the profit will be less. He bought a garden for 75 thousand rupees. Already sold jackfruit worth 60 thousand rupees. Hoping to be able to sell jackfruit worth a total of one and a half lakh taka. Jackal retailer Zakir Hossain’s house is in Devidwar, Comilla. He lives in Dharmapur of Comilla city. He bought 100 jackfruits from Jammura for 9 thousand taka. He hopes to have a profit of 2000 rupees after selling this jackfruit.

Ayub Mahmood Baske, Deputy Director of Agriculture Extension Department, Comilla, said that jackfruit is grown on 335 hectares of land in the district. Among them, jackfruit is grown on 135 hectares of land in Lalmai Pahar area. 2 thousand 800 metric tons of jackfruit are produced in the hills. The jackfruit of this hill is unique in taste. So its demand is high. Thousands of people who are involved in the cultivation and sale of jackfruits get an additional income opportunity at this time.
