PABNA. Sept 25:- A human Chain was held in Pabna to protest against violence and physical abuse against women. Satsanga Pallikallyan Samity, Jatio Nari Nirjaton Protirod Forum (JNNPF), and Action Aid Bangladesh jointly organized the human chain at front of Pabna press club at about 11.30 am.
Speakers from the human chain said that the news published in various daily newspapers shows that the incidents of violence and physical abuse against women in various districts are increasing day by day. We strongly condemn and protest against it. Along with that, the culprits involved in these incidents should be brought under the law and strict punishment should be provided.
Satsanga Palli Kalyan Samiti (SPS) Executive Committee President Hasina Akhtar Rosi, SPS Executive Director Dr. Naresh Madhu, agriculturist Zafar Sadiq, RTV Pabna correspondent Abul Kalam Azad, Daily Amader Samoy Pabna correspondent Sushant Kumar Sarkar, student Md. Deepa Khatun etc, Liton Kumer Saha,Chitta Ranjan Das, Purnima Das and Palash Saha also spoke.
People from different walks of life including teachers, journalists, NGO representatives, lawyers, and students participated in human bonding.
