A World That Is No Longer Ours

Sometimes it seems to me that I have entered a different world.
A world beyond the Ken of my knowledge
Our childhood memories take us back to a seasonal kaleidoscope
The picturesque domain of flora and fauna
The large water bodies that tempted us to dive in
The mellow sunset in a love-lorn setting
Where are all those pithy pleasures of life now?
Nature’s spontaneous movement has been axed by the soiled hands of human aggression.
We witness ruefully the dry decaying death of a green world that was so intimately our own.
Will we remain a silent spectator of this ongoing devastation of our dear planet or fight back?
