Echoes of Redemption

Kwadwo Twumasi Boafo

As a child of the soil, I look to and fro

pondering over how we got here?

How an intelligent race fashioned in the form of God himself became ever so complacent

A disruptive race, ever self seeking and inherently nefarious.

Oh! Who would rid us from this endless cycle?

For we take and plunder the very earth we call home

With little disregard for those left in it’s wake

There remain a glittering light at the end of the tunnel .

Humanities last shot at redemption

So whistle blowers will emerge out of the shadows and sound the alarm

To hold man to account and restore what has been lost

To return Mother Nature to it’s former glory .

Yes!

Now more than ever, we look to you to balance the scale

A price that must be paid

Perhaps only then may we truly experience what it means to be a civilized utopian society

Where Mother Nature thrives and rules

A dream worth actualizing

A life worth living .
