Only to Forget

Luz María López (Puerto Rico)

Couple of eyes inside the pentagram.

Distracted.

I would say it is a slight feeling,

were it not being that I am aware

of the heaviness of their breaths.

And I want, I want to leave.

To a place of few words,

of some transgressive emotion.

         *Remote*

A sea in between.

where I could breathe without haste,

walk without haste, look without haste,

until obviating what circulates with its shadow.

Because no memory should be

singing a loud song.
