BDRunner Online JAN 25:- To increase remittance flow from the United States to Bangladesh, the two-day ‘4th Bangladesh Remittance Fair-2025’ will begin on April 19 at Jackson Heights, New York. The theme of this year’s fair is ‘Legal Remittance, Better Bangladesh’.
Bangladesh-USA Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BUCCI) and USA-Bangla Business Link have jointly organized the fair. Bangladesh Bank Governor Dr. Ahsan H. Mansur will inaugurate the ‘4th Bangladesh Remittance Fair-2025’.
With an emphasis on legal remittance flow and sustainable growth, the fair aims to increase foreign income and encourage expatriates to use legal channels of remittance, which will further strengthen the economy.
Various organizations from the public and private sectors will participate in the fair. These include banks, mobile banking, app developers, money exchanges and various channel partners. These organizations will exhibit their products and services, as well as hold various seminal symposia, Q&A sessions and networking dinners. The fair organizing committee is also publishing a special publication on remittance fair and offshore banking. Written by renowned economists, professors and bankers.
The New York Financial Services Department and major money exchange companies will participate in the networking session. Through which the latest innovations in the communication and remittance sector will be displayed here.
Islami Bank, National Bank and Bank Asia PLC received the award as the highest remittance provider at the fair held in 2024. In addition, BA Express, Sunman Global Express and Standard Globe Express received the award as the highest remittance partner channel.
