Online BD, April 22: – of Pabna District Detective Branch (DB) Police arrested four people with a foreign pistol and a shotgun, 62 rounds of bullets, two magazines and 05 rounds of cartridges, 4,050 peach yaba tablets, 80 (eighty) grams of heroin in separate raids.
Superintendent of Police Md. Mortoza Ali Khan gave this information at a press conference at the District Police Superintendent’s office at 5:30 pm on Monday (April 21).
He told reporters that the District Detective Branch (DB) Police conducted separate raids in the Kashipur Bazar area of Hemayetpur Union of Pabna Sadar Upazila last night. During this, drug dealer Md. Zahid Hasan Rana (33) was arrested along with 50 pieces of yaba. He is a resident of the Doharpara area of Sadar Upazila and DB police arrested two people with two firearms during a raid at a tin shed house in Malitha Para, Hemayetpur.
The arrested are Sajjad Hossain (26) and Md. Abdul Rana (49). A working 7.65 foreign pistol, two magazines, 13 rounds of bullets, 49 rounds of 22 bore live bullets, 4,000 pieces of Yaba and 80 grams of heroin were recovered in the raid.
In addition, Md. Russell Hossain (45) was arrested in another raid in Moharpur village of Gayeshpur union of Sadar Upazila at noon. A Turkish-made 12-bore shotgun and 5 rounds of shotgun bullets hidden under the bed of his house were recovered.
The process of filing separate cases against the four arrested people at Pabna Sadar Police Station is underway.
