ACC raids Pabna Regional Passport Office

PABNA. PABNA, April 24: – The Anti-Corruption Commission, coordinated by the Pabna District Office, has raided the Pabna Regional Passport Office on various allegations, including violence by brokers, customer harassment, and taking excessive money.

The ACC conducted the raid from 11:30 am to 4.30 pm on Thursday (April 24). A team led by Sadhan Chandra Sutradhar, Assistant Director of the Anti-Corruption Commission, coordinated by the District Office, conducted the raid.

Sadhan Chandra Sutradhar, Assistant Director of the Anti-Corruption Commission, coordinated by the Pabna District Office, said, “We have received several complaints about violence by brokers and customer harassment at the Pabna Passport Office. Based on those complaints, a raid is being conducted at the Pabna Regional Passport Office with the permission of the ACC Head Office. During the raid, we found several inconsistent documents, including passports issued through a special code and money transactions on the mobile phone of an employee through BKash. We will verify them and send a report to the ACC Head Office.”

However, Pabna Regional Passport Office Assistant Director Ahsan Uddin denied the allegations and said, “There is no broker ring here. Everything is conducted regularly. The ACC has conducted a drive, that is the ACC’s business. If any officer or employee of my office has committed irregularities, action will be taken against him.”
