BDRunner, June 04:- Meritorious students of Chatmohar upazila of Pabna have set a unique record. Some have got admission in BUET, some in RUET, some in various medical colleges, some in Dhaka University, some in Chittagong University, and some in all the renowned educational institutions of the country by showing their merit.
For the first time, about 68 students from different areas of the upazila have got admission in renowned educational institutions of the country by showing their merit in the admission test.
On Tuesday (June 3) afternoon, the Chatmohar upazila administration honored more than fifty such meritorious students by presenting crests for the first time.
This grand event was held in the auditorium of the Upazila Parishad today. At this time, the meritorious students reminisced about their educational period.
At this reception organized by the upazila administration, the parents were overwhelmed with emotion at the success of their children. And the former students of various schools and colleges of the upazila witnessed such a joyful moment by listening to the success stories of these dreamers of the future.
Teachers, students, guardians and the conscious society have appreciated such an initiative of the Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO). Chatmohar residents have expressed their gratitude to UNO Musa Naser Chowdhury for organizing the felicitation for this generation.
Musa Naser Chowdhury said, it is truly rare that so many students from one upazila have got the opportunity to get admission in all the renowned universities of the country. Even if it is a small thing, I have tried to value the talented ones. Along with this, I am very happy with the way the younger students of various educational institutions of the upazila were present and excited to hear such success stories of the elders.
Among others, Assistant Superintendent of Police (Chatmohar Circle) Arjuma Akhtar, Upazila Education Officer Abdul Gani, Principal of Chatmohar Women’s Degree College Sharif Mahmud Sarkar Sanju, meritorious students Nusrat Jahan Panna, Rakib Hasan, Shahriar Tanvir Shobhan and others spoke at the reception. Students, guardians, teachers, journalists and other dignitaries were present at the event.
Upazila Executive Officer presided over the reception and Upazila Food Controller Ainin Afroz moderated the program.
