Iranian-backed fighter killed in Israeli attack in Lebanon

April 24:- An Iranian-backed fighter was killed in an Israeli attack in Lebanon on Tuesday. He was attacked while traveling in a car.

Since the start of the Gaza war with an unprecedented attack by Hamas on Israel on October 7, cross-border fire has been exchanged between Hezbollah and the Israeli army almost every day.

An AFP journalist said that the latest attack happened in the Abu al-Aswad area near the coastal city of Tayar, about 35 kilometers from the border.

The source told AFP the slain fighter was an engineer in Hezbollah’s air defense force.

Lebanon’s state-run National News Agency said Israeli forces launched a drone attack targeting his car.

An AFP journalist said that the car was completely burnt by the drone attack.

Hezbollah has reportedly stepped up its rocket attacks on Israeli targets in recent times. On Sunday evening they shot down an Israeli drone.
